Braces & Invisalign

Dental braces and aligners are a way of straightening or moving your teeth, to improve how they look and how they work. Braces/aligners can also help you look after the long-term health of your teeth and gums and make eating more comfortable, by spreading the biting pressure across all your teeth.

Braces/aligners work by putting pressure on the teeth, to slowly move them in the right direction. As the pressure takes effect, the bone in the jaw changes to allow the teeth and their roots to move.

Invisalign

With Invisalign® you are on your way to straighter teeth without the use of actual fixed braces!

Invisalign uses a series of clear removable aligners to straighten your teeth without metal wires or brackets. The aligners are made through a combination of Dr. Joe and Dr. Nic’s expertise and 3D computer imaging technology. Each set of aligners are worn for about one week, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position your dentist has prescribed.

You’ll visit with your dentist every 4-6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time is faster than traditional metal braces averaging 9-15 months, and the number of aligners worn during treatment is typically between 18 and 30.

Advantages

If you are looking to straighten your teeth, Invisalign is an option you can’t afford to ignore. You can have that beautiful smile you have always dreamed about in a shorter amount of time than you might realize when you choose Invisalign aligners!

Traditional Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are lightweight metal brackets connected by a metal wire. Both adults and children can benefit from traditional braces, which gently align the teeth over the course of several months or years. Traditional braces are more effective at treating extreme overcrowding of teeth. They give your dentist the control they need to move the teeth in small increments at a time and the ability to most ideally correct a wide array of issues. For those who are conscious of their appearance, today’s braces are more visually appealing than in past years, with a range of color options for both the brackets and the elastics.

Advantages

There are a plethora of benefits when it comes to getting braces! Having straight teeth not only helps with a beautiful smile, but it helps with your overall oral health, too. Now that’s something to smile about!

ClearCorrect

As dental technology continues to advance, treatments have become easier and more comfortable. ClearCorrect is a revolutionary teeth-straightening system that uses a series of custom-made clear aligners instead of the traditional wires and brackets. Each set of aligners is carefully designed to make precise adjustments to your teeth alignment. Over time, your teeth gradually move into a more ideal position as we make any needed adjustments.

ClearCorrect is often compared to Invisalign, as they both are transparent, removable aligners. The largest difference between these two brands lies in the thickness of their aligners and their overall price. Please talk to your dentist at Gregorich & Matack to decide which option of the two is best for your situation.

Advantages

ClearCorrect is a clear aligner system used to straighten teeth as an alternative to traditional braces. ClearCorrect straightens teeth using a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually move teeth a little bit at a time, eventually correcting the teeth and smile to elicit a new, revitalized look.
