Meet Dr. Nic
Dr. Nic Matack, DDS received his dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, graduating in the top five of his class. He was born and raised in Duluth and his roots in the area run deep. Nic and his wife, Emily, have been married since 2007. In 2020 they welcomed a beautiful daughter, their first child, Carina, to their family.
Nic is passionate about running, cooking, traveling, photography, camping, and fishing. Nic has a soft spot for animals, especially dogs.
Prior to his dental education, Nic completed his undergraduate degree at the University of MN Duluth. He went on to earn his Doctor in Physical Therapy and practiced as a PT in Duluth for 6 years. His high academic and clinical performance in dental school earned him the opportunity to take advanced classes in specialty areas of dental surgery.
Following his dental education at the University of Minnesota, Nic completed a 2-year program in orthodontics at the McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry.
Nic prides himself in understanding each patient’s unique perspective. He is an excellent listener and encourages his patients to advocate for their needs. He feels strongly about educating patients so they can make the best decision for their dental health.
